Who We Are
Who We Are
Saint Brendan’s Anglican Church is a community of faith that believes and professes the gospel of Jesus Christ in the living tradition of the traditional orthodox Anglican Church. Our spirituality is rooted in scripture, prayer, evangelism, celebration of the Eucharist and sharing in the sacramental life of the Church. Our theology and liturgical language is anchored in the Holy Bible and the Anglican Service Book.
How do we worship?
Our Prayer Book edition has prayers and affirmations of faith going back to the beginning of our Christian existence, as well as the traditional Anglican liturgy. This beautiful liturgy has been in continuous use for over its first publication over 455 years ago. During the service the congregation actively participates in the service through prayer, music, listening to God’s word and sharing in the Eucharist.
Our Community
Saint Brendan’s Anglican Church is dedicated to the service of God and to support of one another in our Christian life together. Service opportunities exist to work, learn, and play together as a family in Christ, in addition to our worship services that are offered.
If St. Brendan’s Anglican Church sounds like the kind of parish you might be looking for, we extend an invitation to come and visit us. Come and see for yourself a small, friendly and growing congregation embracing the power of faith and building a new Anglican Church for the glory of God.
What We Believe
- That the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God.
- The Articles of Religion are the standard of the Church and The Creeds are the standard of Faith and mean exactly what they say.
- Christian Morality of the New Testament is the sole guide for the Church.
- The Sacraments convey Grace; and through them Christ is known, and is present.
- The Apostolic Ministry of Bishops, Priests and Deacons was instituted by Christ, and is male in character, as defined in the 39 Articles of Religion.
- The worship of the Church has as its basis, The Book of Common Prayer (Our worship utilizes a The Anglican Book of Worship, a traditional language adaptation of the 1228 and 1979 Books of Common Prayer.)
- We do not compromise on matters of Faith and Order, Doctrine, Discipline or Morality.
